Brighton, Hove and Sussex Primary Event | 1st February 2019
Primary school event
Why should I attend?
In March 2018, education secretary Damian Hinds pledged to strip away workload that doesn’t add value in the classroom and give teachers the time to focus on teaching, in his first speech to the profession. This event very much continues the momentum at a regional level, with a visit to Varndean School in East Sussex.
For the 1st February, we have teamed up with the The Pavilion and Downs Teaching School Alliance to bring you an action-packed agenda full of practical ideas to strategically reduce marking, lesson planning and back office admin - to name just a few of the key pain-points schools are facing regarding workload.
There couldn't be an Innovate My School event without one of our super-efficient Speed Dating sessions. We've vetted 10 of the best edtech providers that are shaving off hours of time for their school customers. Meet them all in one go!
In addition to some top-notch food, we will be sharing the findings of our own national edtech survey, and revealing our new evaluation framework to support senior leaders in rapidly evaluating the effectiveness of technology in their school - and how this can save schools many hours procuring the best technology products.
All of our events have an inclusive feel. Built from the ground up, they provide a unique blend of grassroots ideas combined with national voices, where attendees can share, discuss and debate ideas throughout the day - or simply lurk in the background. Whichever you prefer, we hope to see you there.
Who is the event aimed at?
- Headteachers
- Business managers
- Deputy headteachers
- Assistant headteachers
- SLT
- Subject leaders
- Tech leaders
- Curriculum / Phase coordinators
How much does it cost to attend?
Everything we do is free for schools, and this event is no different. Places are free for up to 2 delegates and includes breakfast, refreshments and an executive lunch.
We have space for 50 delegates per event, so we strongly recommend you book your ticket in advance!
